Coronavirus: US barred entry to foreigners who travelled to China

Yesterday the State Department of the United States advised Americans not to travel to China. Later is was announced that people who had recently been to China, would not be allowed to travel in the US and cross its borders. Only US permanent residents will be allowed to visit the country after their trip to China.

That decision was approved and signed by the president Donald Trump.

China is not very happy with the restriction. Tourism businesses are not happy as well. However, the United States declared a public health emergency on Friday and had the right to take such measures.

China is now the center of the novel virus outbreak. About 11,800 people have already fallen ill and about 259 people have died since the first case of the illness was confirmed last December. The World Health Organization declared a global health emergency on Thursday, January 30 as more than 20 countries are now involved in the outbreak.
