Big Wave Championship Events

Organizers: World Surf League

Sweaty palms when watching this most nerve-wracking surf competition on Earth. As the name suggests – the waves are enormous, normally minimum 25 feet on the face of the wave. This year’s big wave surf contest will be the most epic in history. Instead of traditional paddling, the surfers in Nazare will catch the waves using jet skis. This ensures they will be able to catch the biggest waves ever during that day. Jaws Big Wave competition will stick to the traditional paddling format with the most talented big wave surfers in the world.
