Seasonality: Striped bass are the primary surf species at Nauset Light Beach in spring (May-June) and fall (September-October) with the most legendary action during the fall blitz when stripers trap sand eels against the beach. Bluefish are abundant in summer and fall. Atlantic bonito appear in the Outer Cape waters in summer and early fall (July-October) providing fast action on small poppers and metal jigs.
