The Cramond Boat Club has its Clubhouse and moorings at the mouth of the River Almond, only 4 miles from the centre of Edinburgh. The Club caters for all types of small craft, including dinghies, small cruisers and motorboats.
The Club was founded in 1930 and has always encouraged boating of all kinds – canoes, rowing, power boats and sailing.
The club has about 25 moorings accessible at all states of the tide, a well equipped clubhouse and a compound with facilities for winter storage.

The Royal Forth Yacht Club has been in existence since 1868. It incorporates the Royal Eastern Yacht Club (founded in 1835) and the Almond Yacht Club (founded in 1897). As such it is the oldest sailing club on the Firth of Forth.
