Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets in Mosquito Lagoon in Volusia and Brevard counties, Florida, year-round, with redfish year-round and a fall peak and seatrout best in spring and fall. Black drum, snook, and tarpon are seasonal inshore species. Sheepshead are cool-season structure fish.

My technique: Spinning rod My catch: Red Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, Tarpon, Snook, Flounder Average size: Slot and smaller. 20. My biggest catch: Snook Bait: Artificial. My advice for other anglers: Beware of sharks and alligators and watch out for the dolphins and manatees.
