Walleye are targeted by trolling and jigging, muskellunge with large glide baits and swimbaits, largemouth bass along the wild rice margins, pike with large lures and live bait. Seasonality: Walleye are the primary sport fish at Lake Chippewa (Chippewa Flowage), with peak fishing in spring during the spawning period and in fall. Muskellunge are targeted from late spring through fall with the best action in summer and early fall. Largemouth bass peak in spring during spawning. Northern pike are most aggressive in spring and fall.
