Spot Features: Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary is a 22-square-mile offshore reef in Glynn County, Georgia, approximately 17 miles east of Sapelo Island in the South Atlantic, one of the few hard-bottom reef ecosystems on the east coast of the United States, with excellent black sea bass, red snapper, vermilion snapper, and gag grouper fishing in a federally protected marine sanctuary. Seasonality: Black sea bass and red snapper are the primary targets at Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary in Glynn County, Georgia, in the South Atlantic, year-round, with black sea bass most active in spring and fall and red snapper in summer. Vermilion snapper and gag grouper are spring and fall bottom fish.
