Spot Features: Block Island Sound in Washington County, Rhode Island, between Block Island and the Rhode Island and New York coasts, is one of the most productive marine environments in New England for striped bass, bluefish, black sea bass, summer flounder, and scup. This appears to be a duplicate/alternate entry (see also 425159). Seasonality: Striped bass are the primary target in Block Island Sound in Washington County, Rhode Island (duplicate/alternate - see also 425159), from May through October, with the best action in spring and fall. Bluefish are abundant through summer and fall. Black sea bass and summer flounder are warm-season bottom species. Scup are a summer species.
