Seasonality: King mackerel and Spanish mackerel are the primary nearshore targets from Okaloosa Pier in Fort Walton Beach area, Okaloosa County, Florida, year-round, with king mackerel best in summer and fall and Spanish mackerel most abundant in spring. Cobia and tarpon are spring and summer visitors. Red drum and pompano are fall surf species.

GGuest 15 August 2023Kitesurfer notice: the pier is great for fishing, the surrounding beach is to heavily populated for launching/landing kites. Beasley Park which is located slightly East of the pier offers better conditions and is mainly where local setup.
