The owners and employees are craftsmen well versed in traditional boatbuilding methods & techniques. We incorporate modern tools & materials to provide the best possible combination of tradition & technology.

Urban Boatbuilders is a youth empowerment nonprofit serving youth in the Twin Cities Metro Area. We strive to empower youth to build success in their own lives through skill building and hands-on education. Through our Apprenticeship Program, underserved youth work in cohorts of peers to build boats along with skills that will make them prepared for the modern work environment.
