The Club Nautic Llafranc was founded on April 30th, 1963 and was initially based on the Llafranc beach. However, as time went by the need to build a harbour arose in order to be able to improve the club’s infrastructure and to extend the services it offered. All this became a reality in 1970, the year the club was inaugurated.At the onset, the club organised many motorboat and water ski competitions. But with the advent of tourism and the installation of mooring buoys in the coves, these activities diminished giving place to sailing. The Santa Rosa Regatta are held every year at the end of August, are the oldest on the coast. The club has been organising regattas for these vessels since it was founded. Other important activities are four sailing European Championships ( 1975 FINN class and 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2018 OPEN 5,00 class ), one of Spain Championship underwater photography (2005),three UEFA of motonautica Spain (1965, 1966 and 1968), and five sailing Catalan Championships (1975 and 1988 FINN class and 1990 LASER class).
