The Bait Box was established in 1971 by Owner, Ralph Woodring, a life long resident of Sanibel Island, and an active board member of the Sanibel Captiva chapter of START (Solutions to Avoid Red Tide). He is the son of Esperanza Woodring, a lifetime Sanibel fishing guide.
