The Portugal Surf Academy was born of a collaboration between John Macedo, Pedro "Pecas" Monteiro, Miguel Mantero and to create a new concept of teaching surfing in Portugal. 

PURE EMOCEAN BODYBOARDING SCHOOL has a teaching-learning approach structured in different levels, taught in harmony and contact with the natural environment. Starting from the first duck dives, to advanced techniques and finally to competitors’ training, our aproach allows bodyboarders to have a continuous and effective progress. PURE EMOCEAN BODYBOARDING SCHOOL is not only the adequate school for those who wish to learn, but also for those who want to perfect their riding style, basically for everyone who want to experience the unique feeling of bodyboarding.

Embora mantendo sempre uma forte concentração nas actividades ligadas à Formação (Cursos de Vela e Cartas de Navegador), a West Coast actua hoje nas mais diversas áreas ligadas à náutica de recreio nomeadamente na organização de eventos náuticos para empresas (teambuilding e client entertainment), organização de regatas de vela de cruzeiro, aluguer de barcos com e sem skipper, Transporte de Barcos por mar e Loja Náutica.

Specialised in water-sports activities and outdoor tours, we offer Kayaking, Stand-up-paddling and Diving experiences from our Nautical Centres in both Oeiras and Sesimbra Harbours as well as Hiking and MTB tours in the Nature Parks near Lisbon: Sintra-Cascais and Arrábida Nature Parks. All activities are monitored by qualified instructors who love their job and will share their enthusiasm and passion with you. Lisbon Surf House is the ideal place for those who want to blend Surfing and visit a big european capital. Due to its geographical location, Lisbon has an excellent climate (Portugal is one of the warmest countries in Europe) and perfect waves for every surfing level all year round.

Inaugurated in 2006, the windsurfing school and Centre in the season it is fixed, running on the São João beach, in Costa de Caparica, about 10 km from Lisbon from May to September.
