    Bartlett Reservoir is a 2,800-acre reservoir on the Verde River in Maricopa County, Arizona, part of the Salt River Project water supply system, featuring outstanding smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing and excellent black crappie in a spectacular Sonoran Desert canyon setting. It is one of the least crowded and most scenic fishing lakes in the greater Phoenix area. Spot Features: Bartlett Reservoir is a 2,800-acre reservoir on the Verde River in Maricopa County, Arizona, the northernmost of the Salt River Project reservoirs, featuring dramatic desert canyon scenery and clear water with excellent bass and crappie fishing. Smallmouth bass along the rocky canyon walls, largemouth in the vegetated coves, crappie on jigs in spring. Seasonality: Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass are the primary year-round sport fish at Bartlett Reservoir, with smallmouth most aggressive in the rocky canyon sections in late spring and summer and largemouth peaking in spring during spawning. Black crappie are excellent in spring during the spawn. The warm Arizona desert climate allows extended fishing season.
