Black Rock Yacht Club traces its origins to 1874. In that year, George A. Wells, an associate of P.T. Barnum, purchased a building on the land where the clubhouse now sits. It became known as part of the George Hotel, known the world over for its elegance and charm.

The objectives of the Club shall be to provide a suitable clubhouse, grounds and dockage for the convenience of the members thereof; to encourage yachting and other social recreations; and to promote good fellowship among the members.

Since 1957, The Boat Locker (formerly Larson's Locker for those of you who remember) has been Fairfield County's premiere sailboat dealership. Our new location In Bridgeport, CT has a 8,000 square foot showroom with 30 foot ceilings allowing us to display our boats, kayaks and standup paddleboards rigged indoors year round.
