Lahontan Cutthroat trout are the largest cutthroat subspecies, native to Nevada’s desert lakes and rivers. Adapted to alkaline waters, they feed on chub, tui, and insects. Once near extinction, they have been restored in Pyramid Lake. Famous for reaching trophy sizes, they are a historic and iconic sportfish.
