Lane Snapper are colorful reef fish of the western Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. Pinkish with yellow stripes, they feed on crabs, shrimp, and small fish. Found over reefs and sandy bottoms, they are popular with anglers and divers alike. They are excellent table fare and strike both bait and lures.
