Moses Perch inhabit coral reefs and estuaries of northern Australia and Indo-Pacific waters. Reddish with pale scales, they favor mangrove roots and rocky outcrops. Feeding on prawns and small fish, they are aggressive and responsive to lures. Juveniles thrive in estuaries, while adults move to offshore reefs.
