Northern Kingfish frequent surf zones of the U.S. Atlantic coast. Slender with dark stripes and a long spine on their dorsal fin, they feed on worms, crustaceans, and clams. Popular with surf anglers, they fight well on light gear. They are excellent table fare and also serve as live bait.
