Pacific Shovelnose Guitarfish, with bodies between sharks and rays, inhabit sandy shallows of the eastern Pacific. They feed on crustaceans, clams, and small fish, using flattened snouts to dig. Docile and often caught by surf anglers, they are more curiosity than target but add variety to coastal catches.
