Red-Bellied Pacu are large, omnivorous fish native to the Amazon Basin but often found in aquariums. They have a deep, laterally compressed body with red bellies and powerful jaws. Although related to piranhas, Pacu primarily feed on fruits, seeds, and vegetation. In some regions, they are released into local waters and can be caught by anglers seeking a unique catch.
