River Redhorse are large, red-finned suckers inhabiting clear rivers of eastern North America. Sensitive to pollution, they prefer gravel runs and riffles. Feeding on mussels, snails, and insect larvae, they help maintain ecosystems. Though not common sportfish, their size and strong fight make them a prized catch for some anglers.
