Sandbar Sharks are large coastal sharks with tall dorsal fins, found in warm oceans worldwide. Favoring sandy bays and estuaries, they feed on fish, rays, and crustaceans. Generally wary, they are important to ecosystems but vulnerable to overfishing. Highly migratory, they are sometimes targeted by sport anglers.
