Seasonality: Bluefin tuna and yellowfin tuna are the primary offshore targets at 81 Spot (a California offshore bank south of San Diego) from spring through fall, with bluefin most abundant in late spring and summer and yellowfin in summer. Yellowtail and dorado are warm-season species. Bonito and albacore are warm-season schooling fish.
