Spot Features: Rollover Pass in Galveston County, Texas, at the eastern tip of the Bolivar Peninsula, is a man-made tidal pass connecting the Gulf of Mexico to East Bay, historically famous for excellent redfish and seatrout fishing. Note: Rollover Pass has been closed by TPWD for ecological restoration purposes, fishing from the surrounding areas of the Bolivar Peninsula remains accessible. Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets at Rollover Pass in Galveston County, Texas, at the eastern end of Bolivar Peninsula, year-round, with redfish best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Southern flounder are a fall-run species. Black drum and sheepshead are cool-season structure species at the pass.
