It is one of the more productive smaller reservoirs in the northeastern Oklahoma region and draws local anglers year-round. Spot Features: Bluestem Lake is an 865-acre reservoir with a maximum depth of 57 feet in Osage County, Oklahoma, operated by the City of Pawhuska. Its 22-mile shoreline features a mix of coves, points, and open water that supports the diverse species assemblage. Bass anglers work the shoreline structure with crankbaits, jigs, and soft plastics, crappie are taken on jigs and minnows around brush piles and submerged timber. Non-residents are required to check in and out at the gate. Nearby bait shops include Copan Bait and Tackle. Seasonality: Largemouth bass are active year-round at Bluestem Lake, with the peak bite in spring during the spawning period and again in fall when fish feed aggressively ahead of winter.
