Crappie anglers work jigs and minnows around structure in spring, walleye are targeted with jig-and-minnow rigs and trolled crankbaits, bass with soft plastics along the vegetated edges. Seasonality: Black crappie are the marquee species at Lake Manawa, most catchable in spring during the spawn from March through May and in the evening throughout summer.
