Spot Features: Lower Fire Lake is a stocked lake in the Municipality of Anchorage, part of the ADF&G Anchorage area stocked lakes program, the lower of the two Fire Lakes. Rainbow trout, coho salmon, and Arctic char are standard targets. Seasonality: Rainbow trout are the primary stocked species at Lower Fire Lake in the Anchorage area, with the best fishing from ice-out in spring through summer. Coho salmon may access the lake in fall. Arctic char are active through the open-water season. Ice fishing through winter is possible.
