About this spot

Fishing info

  • Experience

The fishing spot offers a family-friendly environment with several amenities, including picnic areas and accessible facilities. It boasts biodiversity with successful catches of walleyes, bass, and catfish. Though the site is suitable for shore fishing, owning a boat may enhance the experience. Structures such as submerged timber provide excellent habitats, yet peak recreational boat traffic may disrupt fishing. Consistently achieving large hauls can be challenging.

  • Tips

For best results, engage in early morning fishing to potentially catch muskies. Effective baits include orange spinners and Thundercricket for attracting walleyes and bass. Shore fishing with the right gear can yield significant catches like large channel catfish. An adaptable fishing strategy is necessary due to fish unpredictability.

  • Fishing seasons

The fishing spot experiences a mild climate with favorable conditions from April to October. The summer months enable optimal fishing due to warmer temperatures and low wind speeds, creating ideal conditions for both shore and boat fishing. Meanwhile, the winter months present limited opportunities due to lower temperatures.
