Seasonality: Red drum are the primary sport fish target in the Stono River year-round, with the best action in fall from September through November. Spotted seatrout peak in spring and fall. Southern flounder are a fall-run species, most abundant from October through December. Black drum are most concentrated around oyster reefs in winter and spring.
