Paralabrax maculatofasciatus
Spotted Sand Bass dwell in bays, harbors, and near rocky reefs along the Pacific coast of California and Mexico. Recognizable by dark spots across their body, they lurk near eelgrass and structure to ambush shrimp and small fish. Aggressive on light tackle, they are a favorite among inshore anglers.
