Haemulon plumierii
White Grunts are reef fish of the western Atlantic and Caribbean. Silver with blue stripes, they produce grunting sounds when agitated. They feed on crustaceans, mollusks, and worms around coral reefs and rocky bottoms. Popular with anglers, they school in large numbers and are also used as bait for larger predators.
