Urban Boatbuilders is a youth empowerment nonprofit serving youth in the Twin Cities Metro Area. UAO has changed names to "The Black Oar".The Black Oar board & bike Shop was founded by Alex Linnell - The first person to ever stand up paddle the entire length of the Mississippi River in the summer of 2011.Alex has set multiple world records including the Stand up paddle board distance record, paddling over 2323 miles in just 65 days!

The St. Paul Yacht Club has been in continuous operation on Harriet Island since 1912. We are dedicated to safe and affordable boating for the citizens of Saint Paul and surrounding communities. We are proud of our facilities and our location in Saint Paul’s premier public park - Harriet Island.

Air Down There Scuba is more than just a Twin Cities dive shop! We are a certified PADI 5-Star Dive Center and a full-service SDI, TDI and ERDI Dive Facility. We are “your pre-dive safety stop” and your after-dive community and support center too.

In August of 2003, Joe's opened our current store on 33 East County Rd B. The store on Dale St. was closed at the same time. In 2007, we launched our internet store so that we could cater to customer's nation wide. Today the store is owned by Joseph H. and James T. Rauscher, sons of Joe and Loretta.

All our Instructor, Dive Master, Back-up, and Support staffs are experienced divers who enjoying sharing their love of diving with other people. Our staff of instructors alone has a combined total of over 65 years of experience in teaching people to dive.
