One of the best spots for kitesurfing in the world as it’s windy almost all year round. Perfect for freestyle kiting as the water is butter flat. The spot is never crowded. And yes, it's Venesuela -- very very cheap. The best wind season with almost everyday guaranteed wind is February till June.
This is an amazing place to visit! I've been there 5 times will come to the island again! The island itself is located not so far from the mainland, so you can get there by a ferry. The place is enjoyable is all year, there's always much to do. You can enjoy the clear and marvelous beaches, go windsurfing, play golf, rent and ride a horse or even go scuba diving. If you'd like to stay there, I'd recommend StevieWonderLand, a nice accommodation variant. There're also several nice places to eat like La Casa de Esther or Il Nonno Pizzeria. The prices on the island are pretty reasonable but could get hefty during the high season.
First thing that I'd like to say about this place is that it's rather cheap. The prices there are very low, you can get a taxi, eat and rent gear or live in a hotel for almost nothing if we compare it to US or EU spots. The weather is great there almost the whole year. I personally visit this place somewhere in February as I know there's wind for sure. The temp there is around 25-27 C. Sand on the beach is pleasant, water is clear, there are always lifeguards nearby. In general, it's a nice place for newbies and for professionals. The working wind is NE, ENE, E, ESE, SE. If you'd like to stay there, there are a couple of hotels nearby. As for cafés, visit Sharks, they have amazing food and drinks.
