APB Yacht Surveys will oversee the build of your vessel from specification to completion. We will also oversee, on client's behalf, repairs carried out in unfamiliar yards.

With stand up paddle boarding being our main sport it allows novice water users to experienced sea goers, the opportunity to get on the water and experience one of the fastest growing water sports worldwide.

The West Mersea Yacht Club is renowned for its racing Programme which includes EAORA off-shore races to various Euopean ports. The local racing includes well established cup races that are open to visitors as well as joining forces with the Dabchicks Sailing Club to run the very popular Mersea Week Regatta. That week includes the the very individual "Round the Island" race where dinghies have to be lifted out of the water and carried over the Strood. The cruising programme has provided Members and their friends with the opportunity to visit many of the East Coast ports and Clubs. There is always a warm welcome in the comfortable Clubhouse for both Members and Visitors with a full range of bar and catering facilities providing hot meals every day of the year at lunch time and 4 evenings. Two exceptions are Christmas Day and Boxing Day. West Mersea provides a pleasant sheltered anchorage with immediate access to the sailing waters of the River Blackwater, Thames Estuary and North Sea. The Mersea waterside itself and the village provide a full range of services and facilities for the racing and cruising yachtsman.

Peter Clarke's Boatyard is a family run business. We carry out repairs to wooden and GRP yachts and boats. Moorings, slippage, boat storage, chandlery etc.

Dolphin Sails are an independent sailmaker operating from two Lofts in Essex. We provide the full range of services that a yachtsman needs when it comes to sails and canvas work.
