Kicking off in 1950 on the warm shingles of Marine Parade, Pacific Lifeguards have spent many a day patrolling the beach, and dabbling in the odd bit of surf-sport. Back in the days the beach had sand, woollen togs, and reel-rescues. Now, Pacific Lifeguards prefer Rescue tubes, knee boards, and IRB's (if they can get their hands on it). Pop down to the club and go for a casual swim with the guards - between the flags of course. Or instead take a stroll along the Rotary Pathway (be sure to slip, slop, slap).
