Holyfield Bottom Lake is a specimen carp lake, with carp ranging from around 8lb up to 36lb 8oz. Including Tench up to 8lb, Bream up to 14lb, Ghost carp up to 19lb, the lake itself is just under four acres with a clay/silty bottom. The lake is very well stocked with average sized Carp at around 23lb with approximately 200 carp in the lake . Surface fishing is only allowed between May to September using floating trout pellet or pop ups only , ( no bread or dog biscuit allowed ).

Lake John Fishery is one the most reputable fisheries in Essex, and has been quoted by the Angling Times as the premier silver fish venue in the south of England established in 1992 Lake John comprises of two lakes both mixed fishery’s.

Whilst the sport of dinghy sailing is the predominant activity, sailboarding is also catered for and encouraged, and many of our Members are also active in offshore cruising and racing. We are open to all classes of monohull dinghies and sailboards, and provide class and handicap racing throughout the year.

ESSA Water Activities Centre is: a charity, run by qualified volunteers, primarily for young people but can cater for adults too, able to provide taster sessions and courses, an RYA training centre and holds an AALA licence, a 22 acre lagoon in Nazeing, set in the Lee Valley Country Park, adjacent to the River Lea and has easy access for river sessions.

Broxbourne Sailing Club offers family friendly dinghy, racing, cruising, training, youth and disabled sailing near to the Essex and Hertfordshire border.

The East London Windsurfing School was established in 1978 and is recognised by the Royal Yachting Association and all instructors are therefore qualified. The school offers a variety of Tuition to learn this exciting sport including RYA certified courses as well as clinics and private teaching. Hire is also available on all scheduled dates.
