  The Home Screen is what you see each time you start the app. It’s all about fast access to features — the weather map, forecasts on favorite spots, etc.

  Useful things to start with:

  1. Allow the app to access your location (turn GPS on). When you do, you’ll be able to see all the features of the home screen, including weather widget, nearest spots and weather stations:

     If GPS is off, you’ll be able to turn it on in 1 click in the «Nearest spots» section on the home page.

  2. Find the forecast for a spot (= particular location):
     1. Tap on the search icon
     2. Type in the name of the spot.
     3. If it’s not listed, create your own spot .

  20+ weather and marine parameters, pre-set profiles, units, wind rose

  The Spot screen shows a 1-10 day weather and marine forecast for a particular location. Forecast length depends on the chosen weather model: GFS27 — 10 days, WRF8 — 3 days and so on.

  

  Useful things to start with:

  1. Choose one of the pre-set profiles that suits your activity best. All profiles have different sets of weather parameters. Here’s how to change the profile:
  2. Change units in the settings to view data in a way familiar to you.
  3. Select a specific time to see wind and swell in relation to the topography/coastline on the wind rose.ne on the wind rose.
  4. Add the spot to Favorites by tapping on the star if you visit it often.
  5. See when the wind is good at your favorite spots on the home screen. You can reorder your favorites with the pin tool.

  Wind, gusts, swell, precipitation map, spots, weather stations, weather fronts

  The map displays wind forecast by default, but you can switch to gusts, swell, precipitation, weather fronts and isobars. It’s a great way to ‘see the big picture’ or find a spot with certain weather conditions. You can get there both from the home and spot screens.

  

  Useful things to start with:

  1. Get to know the wind map. The moving ‘particles’ show wind direction, particularly where the wind is blowing from. Colors correspond to wind speed: from blue for light wind to purple for very strong winds.
  2. Choose a different map layer: gusts, swell or precipitation. The color scale will always be at the top.
  3. Explore map settings and customize the view: switch to the HD wind map, select the types of spots you want to see, etc.
  4. Create your own spots, as many as you need. To do it:
     1. Tap on a location on the map
     2. Click on the star icon
     3. Give a name to the new spot
     4. Press “Add”

     These spots would be private i.e. visible only to you. They will be added to your list of favorites automatically.
