Seasonality: Spotted seatrout and redfish are the primary inshore targets in Sabine Lake in Orange County, Texas, and Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, year-round, with seatrout best in spring and fall and redfish best in fall. Southern flounder and black drum are cool-season species. Largemouth bass are freshwater residents in the less saline areas. Sabine Lake is the freshwater-brackish estuary between Texas and Louisiana.
