Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets in Choctawhatchee Bay in Okaloosa and Walton counties, Florida, year-round, with redfish best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Black drum, sheepshead, and flounder are cool-season species. Spanish mackerel are a warm-season nearshore visitor.
