About this spot

Fishing info

  • Experience

The location offers amenities such as a picnic area, trails, and parking, enhancing accessibility and visitor comfort. Despite this, success in catching fish, particularly using bobbers, is low, presenting challenges in strategy. The presence of cutthroat trout, however, provides a unique opportunity for dedicated anglers.

  • Tips

Focus on fishing for cutthroat trout in early summer when temperatures are stable. Avoid solely using bobbers due to low success rates. Expect mostly calm weather with wind speeds under 13 mph.

  • Fishing seasons

The summer months are optimal for fishing with mild temperatures averaging around 77°F and low precipitation, improving the likelihood of successful catches. Conversely, fall experiences more rain and cooler temperatures near 41°F, complicating fishing. Spring sees temperatures rise to about 32°F, making it less ideal for early fishing activities.
