Snowboarding is an extreme winter snow sport and outdoor activity. The name comes from the words "snow", "board" and "moving".

In snowboarding, you go down a snow-covered slope on a special board with bindings. While riding, you are rigidly attached to the board and is always in the same position. You control your movement, trajectory, and speed by shifting your weight to the back or front of the board. Snowboarding is part of the Winter Olympics. It includes types: parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, halfpipe, slopestyle, big air.

Snowboarding is popular in many regions of the world. The most famous European resorts are located in the Alps: in Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France. In the US, major resorts are located in the states of Utah, Vermont, Colorado. Ski slopes are also in Canada, Finland, Georgia, etc. Even in Africa, there are small resorts in Morocco.

The natural ski season begins and ends at different resorts at different times: you need a stable snow cover on the slopes. In addition, many large cities have resorts with artificial snow or indoor sports complexes with snow tracks, where you can train all year round.

The main pleasure of snowboarding is the opportunity to ride the most beautiful mountains during a sporting activity. It is also a great culture with a close-knit community, or rather, many communities in different parts of the world. At the same time, learning to snowboard is a little more difficult than skiing, so it's best to start under the supervision of an instructor. Snowboarding is also considered an extreme sport, where it is easy to get serious injury, which, however, does not stop millions of people around the world of trying and practicing it.
