Spot Features: Mobjack Bay in Mathews and Gloucester counties, Virginia, is a large protected bay on the lower western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, fed by the North, East, Ware, and Severn rivers, with excellent red drum, spotted seatrout, striped bass, summer flounder, and cobia fishing in the productive bay shallows and tidal rivers. Seasonality: Red drum and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets in Mobjack Bay in Mathews and Gloucester counties, Virginia, on the lower Chesapeake Bay, year-round, with red drum best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Striped bass and summer flounder are spring and fall visitors. Cobia are summer species in the bay.
