We are a members-only trout fly-fishing club in the heart of rural Essex. Established in 1966, the club offers some of the best dry and wet fly fishing in East Anglia. Our two lakes, each of approximately 16 acres, are situated in a tranquil, picturesque setting within easy reach of Chelmsford, Braintree and Great Dunmow. Though club numbers are kept low, we currently have membership vacancies to offer and can now accept applications from interested persons. 

The Main Lake is approximately 4 acres in size with 3 islands stocked with carp to 30 tench to 7 and a half pounds, pike to 26 pounds, crucians, roach, rudd and eels.

Sea Cadets is different from school. There's a lot of learning. But it's done through activities – on the water, on land and in the unit – and our volunteers leading by example. Teenagers meet other cadets at events around the UK, and on trips abroad. They become comfortable with people from different places and backgrounds, which can make going out into the world so much easier later on.

Accessible from the A414 west of Chelmsford, this well-established agricultural reservoir has been fished since 1980. As well as lots of roach and rudd, the lake holds a good head of perch, tench, and hard-fighting brown goldfish.

Premier Sailing offer RYA courses and sailing holidays from our base on the Essex Coast in North Fambridge.

The centre has recently undergone significant investment to its accommodation as well as new and upgraded activity stations, and now boasts: 10 Scandinavian-style log cabins; a newly built dining hall with full catering facilities; extensive camping and amenities and a fully equipped conference suite and classroom.
