Spot Features: Anchor Point in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, on the south side of the Kenai Peninsula on the lower Kenai Peninsula coast, is the westernmost point of the North American highway system and a productive sport fishing location with excellent king salmon, Pacific halibut, coho salmon, rockfish, and lingcod fishing from the beach and by charter boat. Seasonality: King salmon (Chinook) and Pacific halibut are the primary targets at Anchor Point in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, on the upper Cook Inlet, year-round, with king salmon most abundant in June and July and halibut best in summer. Coho salmon are a late summer and fall species. Rockfish and lingcod are year-round bottom fish.
