Spot Features: Ponce Inlet in Volusia County, Florida, is a tidal inlet between New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach at the southern end of the Ponce de Leon Inlet, with productive jetties, tidal channels, and the adjacent Indian River Lagoon and Mosquito Lagoon providing exceptional access to redfish, spotted seatrout, snook, flounder, and black drum fishing. Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets at Ponce Inlet in Volusia County, Florida, year-round, with redfish best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Snook are warm-season inshore species. Southern flounder are a fall-run species. Black drum are cool-season structure fish.
