Seasonality: Striped bass are the primary target in Frenchman Bay near Bar Harbor, Maine, in spring (May-June) and fall (September-October) during their coastal migrations. Atlantic pollock are available year-round in the cold Frenchman Bay water and are most active in fall. Atlantic mackerel are abundant in the bay in summer.
