Gus Dive Center fue fundado por Gustavo Torreira en el año 1979 en la ciudad de Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. Es el centro de buceo independiente más antiguo en el país. De aquí salieron las primeras excursiones que se realizaron en Santo Domingo en el pueblo pesquero de La Caleta, por lo que muchos de los nombres que tienen los diferentes puntos de buceo que hay en el Parque Nacional Submarino de La Caleta fueron dados por nuestros buzos.
