Seasonality: Striped bass and smallmouth bass are the primary targets in Lake Powell in Kane County, Utah (duplicate/alternate - see also 360413 Wahweap Lake Powell), year-round, with striped bass most active in spring and fall and smallmouth bass year-round. Largemouth bass and walleye are warm-season species. Black crappie are spring spawning fish.

GGuest 30 October 2021Summer and autumn are great for this place. However, beware severe monsoon storms in July and August. There are only 4 marinas over the 166 miles of the main channel. Mobile network is available. If you're hungry, you could get some at "Antelope point". In general, the spot is not good for sailing most days.

GGuest 29 October 2021Summers are hot there and have the potential for large monsoon storm with high winds, but the water is gorgeous and refreshing. In autumn, the storms are gone but the temperatures are mild and the water tends to get a bit chilly. The lake itself is huge and gorgeous. Fishing for stripers is exciting during early mornings and evenings, Bass can be caught in shades areas, catfish are abundant. If you're out of food, ice cream and snacks could be purchased at Dangling Rope Marina nearby.
