The Yacht Club was founded in 1936, our aim is to encourage, promote and facilitate amateur yachting, with membership open to all. As a members' organisation, we are entirely supported by members' subscriptions and their voluntary assistance which helps keep fees low.

Two brothers Alfie and Burt Lawson founded the Leigh Motor Boat Club in 1962.

Welcome to 3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scout Group. Founded in 1931, 3rd Chalkwell Bay operates from our purpose built headquarters in the Old Town of Leigh on Sea in Essex, where we run a huge array activities and training for boys and girls ages 6 to 25 and beyond. We are recognised by the Royal Navy as one of the top 100 Sea Scout Groups in the country.

Leigh-on-Sea Sailing Club is located on the northern shore of the Thames Estuary. This offers a variety of sailing conditions for dinghy sailors and cruisers from half-tide moorings. We have an active cadets section, keen racers and cruising dinghy sailors.

The Essex Yacht Club was founded in 1890 and has occupied the same site, on the foreshore East of Leigh-on-Sea ever since. The club has, almost since its founding, been headquartered on ships. Currently we are based on a former Royal Navy mine hunter HMS Wilton that was purchased in 2001.

Perfect Day Watersports is a Royal Yachting Association Powerboat, Sailing, VHF Radio, RYA First Aid, RYA Day Skipper and British Canoe Union Kayak Centre located in Leigh on Sea, near Southend, Essex only 40 minutes from London.

Aquapigs offers a full range of PADI courses. Set up in 1997 by JP (Janice Pacey, PADI Master Instructor), Aquapigs has quickly established itself as one of the areas leading dive schools. Aquapigs mixes a high level of professionalism with a great social atmosphere.

We're constantly adding new products to the range of fishing tackle we offer, utilising some of the latest and revolutionary materials/components which ultimately provides you with more options and the highest quality product possible.

We enjoy a wide programme of sailing and social activities and pride ourselves on being a very friendly club and new members, whether they are experienced sailors or just beginning, are always made welcome.
